A blog (or weblog) is a website that is updated regularly with short texts (messages or items) with the newest first. Often there is the possibility that readers can comment on each post. The content may vary from personal diary-like to the political debates end or thematic. A blog is often linked to a person, but can also be shared by a larger group. The person who writes / edits a blog called a blogger.
Bloggers write with fairly regular intervals, eg every week. In a weblog blogger often writes about his life as in a diary. It can also act on a particular topic. The blog took off from mid-1999 with the advent of Blogger, Blog.dk and virtual community sites like LiveJournal.
