Earth's history includes the main events and the most basic steps in the development which took place on planet Earth from its formation in the solar system formation and evolution and to the present, as they are considered to have proceeded according to the most prevalent scientific theories. Earth's age, approx. 4.54 billion years ie. roughly one third of the universe's age, and in this vast period there have been violent geological and biological changes and upheavals. Almost all science disciplines have contributed to the clarification of the story outline.
